Job Description
CONTRACT WORK. We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented subcontractors to join our full-service flooring team by providing the highest quality installation services to our clients. As a subcontractor, you will work directly with the Installation Manager at one of our three store locations in a variety of fast-paced environments to provide top-tier workmanship and see installation jobs through to completion.
Requirements
- Subfloor Inspection & Preparation: Evaluate subfloors for moisture, levelness, and structural integrity. Perform necessary grinding, leveling, patching, or underlayment installation prior to laying main materials.
- Material Handling & Layout: Measure areas precisely, calculate material yields, minimize waste, and set starting grid lines for accurate layout patterns.
- Precision Installation: Cut, fit, and secure flooring materials (hardwood, tile, LVP, carpet, or laminate) according to manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, and specified designs.
- Surface Finishing & Trim Work: Install transition strips, baseboards, quarter-round moldings, stair nosing, and apply sealants, grout, or finishes as required.
- Equipment & Safety Management: Operate specialized power tools and machinery (tile saws, stretchers, pneumatic nailers) safely while wearing appropriate PPE and following OSHA/site safety protocols.
- Jobsite Cleanup & Disposal: Remove debris, dispose of scrap materials, vacuum surfaces, and ensure the work area is clean and ready for client inspection.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure all completed work strictly adheres to client specifications, building codes, and manufacturer warranty guidelines.
- Project Logistics & Communication: Coordinate job schedules, material delivery timelines, and jobsite status updates directly with general contractors or project managers.
Please Note
Subcontractors hired through Tile Liquidators must provide their own workers’ compensation insurance coverage. If they are unable to provide their own coverage, Tile Liquidators will deduct 10% from the subcontractor’s check.
